NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN) completed the auction for a 250 MW/1,000 MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in India through tariff-based competitive bidding. Sunsure Energy won 125 MW at ₹6.64/kWh, while Enerica Infra 3 secured the other 125 MW at ₹6.65/kWh. Launched in February 2025, the project supports India’s renewable energy sector and will receive Viability Gap Funding.
