On February 3, 2025, POWERGRID approved two major investment projects to enhance India’s transmission infrastructure. The first involves a 400kV switchyard at Vataman to support 500 MW of Offshore Wind capacity off Gujarat’s coast, with a cost of ₹319.42 crore and a 2026 commissioning date.
