NTPC REL has issued tender for 650 MVAR Static VAR Generator package for reactive power compensation of wind projects in Karnataka. Work split into Block 1 Halligudi smaller capacity and Block 2 Bellary larger; bidders can quote one or both. Scope covers design, engineering, supply, erection, testing, commissioning with STATCOM functionality, transformers, switchgear, control panels and Balance of Plant for ISTS grid compliance.
