NTPC has issued a tender for the construction and commissioning of Solar Trees at its Bongaigaon Project in Assam, with bids due by December 30, 2024. The project, to be completed in 12 months, involves creating a Solar Tree structure with SS/HDG steel pipes and Solar Panels. It requires materials to withstand winds up to 150 km/h and includes MSME benefits for service contracts.
