NTPC Limited has issued a major bid for a 2,670 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) across nine thermal power stations, including Barauni, Gadarwara, and NTECL-Vallur. The selected contractor will supply, install, and commission the full BESS system, including management, conversion, protection, and communication systems, and provide maintenance under a Comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contract.
