NTPC Green Energy Limited(NGEL) and Assago Industries have signed an MoU to develop India’s first indigenous Green Urea plant at the Pudimadaka Green Hydrogen Hub. NGEL will supply green ammonia, captured CO₂, renewable power, and utilities to enable sustainable fertilizer production. The project supports Atma Nirbhar Bharat by reducing urea imports, lowering carbon emissions, strengthening fertilizer self-reliance, and advancing large-scale green hydrogen and green chemicals development in Andhra Pradesh.
