NITI Aayog has launched the India Electric Mobility Index (IEMI), a first-of-its-kind tool to assess and benchmark progress of Indian states and union territories in electric mobility. Scoring states out of 100 across 16 indicators under themes like electrification, charging infrastructure, and innovation, IEMI aims to promote healthy competition, identify gaps, and encourage best practice sharing.
