The Indian Railways is undertaking an innovative project to develop its first hydrogen train by retrofitting a hydrogen fuel cell on a Diesel Electric Multiple Unit (DEMU) rake. This advanced initiative is entirely indigenously developed, with specifications prepared by the Research Design & Standards Organization (RDSO).
