Nissan Motor Corp. and SK On signed a $661 million agreement to supply 100 GWh of high-nickel batteries from 2028 to 2033 for Nissan’s EV production in North America. The U.S.-made batteries will support manufacturing at Nissan’s Canton, Mississippi, plant. This deal aligns with Nissan’s EV expansion strategy, including a $500 million investment in Canton and plans to launch 16 new EVs by 2027.
