NHPC Ltd, India’s largest hydropower company, will invest Rs 5,500 crore to establish a 1,000 MW Solar Power project in Bihar. The project, expected to take 1.5-2 years post-land acquisition, was announced during the Bihar Business Connect 2024 summit. NHPC also plans to produce Green Hydrogen from a small Solar Plant to power buses, aligning with the government's clean energy goals.
