The National Highways for Electric Vehicles (NHEV) has acquired a 4.7-acre site in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, to establish a 3G EV charging station along the Kanyakumari–Madurai highway. This will be the second such station on the route and the first under NHEV’s South Zone rollout. The project is part of a 5,500 km national EV charging network, with a target completion by 2027, aiming to support electric trucks and logistics vehicles.
