Newcastle, NSW, has installed 34 new electric vehicle (EV) charging ports powered by the council-owned Summerhill Solar Farm, adding to a total of 50 chargers across 15 locations. This expansion supports a 1,000% rise in EV uptake over four years. Co-funded by a $270,000 NSW government grant, chargers offer varying speeds and prices.
