The Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission granted in-principle approval for procuring 500 MW/1000 MWh battery energy storage capacity on a tolling tariff model connected to the InSTS network. This addition is over the previously approved 250 MW/500 MWh capacity. The tariff will be discovered through competitive bidding by MPPMCL under the Ministry of Power’s 2022 BESS Guidelines.
