Montra Targets $1 Billion Revenue by 2030 with Heavy E-Trucks

Montra Electric, Murugappa Group's EV arm, targets $1 billion revenue by 2030, with nearly 70 percent from electric trucks. Heavy trucks will contribute 50 percent, small commercial vehicles 23-25 percent, three-wheelers 20 percent and tractors 7-10 percent. With 21,000 vehicles and Rs 740 crore last year, MD Jalaj Gupta expects over 50 percent annual growth despite e-truck penetration below 1 percent and limited long-haul charging.
