Moeve SA, controlled by Mubadala, broke ground on the 300MW Onuba green hydrogen plant near Huelva, Andalusia, Spain costing €1bn first phase. Targeting 2GW electrolysis and 300,000 tons hydrogen yearly, it would be Europe's largest, replacing fossil feedstock at its chemicals plant. Thyssenkrupp Nucera supplies 15 alkaline electrolyzers; Moeve holds 51%, with Cofides and Enagás Renovable minority stakes, plus €300m EU funding.
