The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has clarified that residential rooftop solar consumers under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana who choose the “Give It Up” option and forgo Central Financial Assistance (CFA) can install non-DCR solar panels without complying with ALMM List-II solar cell requirements until March 31, 2027.
