Under the PM E-DRIVE Scheme, the Ministry of Heavy Industries approved ₹503.86 crore to install 4,874 EV chargers across multiple states and CPSEs, including HPCL, IOCL, and BPCL. Karnataka received ₹123.26 crore to deploy 1,243 chargers. The scheme includes a ₹10,900 crore programme for EV adoption and ₹2,000 crore for charging infrastructure.
