The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) has approved MSEDCL’s procurement of 2,000 MW/4,000 MWh of standalone Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to strengthen grid stability and support renewable energy integration. The competitively discovered tariff of ₹1,65,998 per MW per month will apply for 15 years.
