Meralco PowerGen Corporation has energised Phase 1 of the 3.5GW MTerra solar-plus-storage project in Luzon, developed with Actis and Solar Philippines New Energy Corporation. The phase includes 1,288MWdc of solar and 622 battery units within a planned 4.5GWh BESS. Spanning Nueva Ecija and Bulacan, the project will supply up to 10% of Luzon’s power once completed, supporting national renewable energy targets for 2030 and 2040.
