Madras High court has deemed the Rs 50L/MW resource charges as unconstitutional and has quashed it, providing significant relief to the wind energy producers across Tamil Nadu. These charges were imposed by Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation Ltd (GECL) on wind power projects connected to the Central Transmission Unit (CTU).
