The UK government is trying to focus on the clean power target 2030 to meet the legal binding 2050 demand of carbon reduction. The investors claim that lithium is going to meet the demand of Long Duration Energy Storage which is being looked for 10–20-hour storage. Different investors have different opinions but according to the maximum investors on cost bases Lithium will be appropriate for at least 10 h + battery capacity and need push more towards battery energy storage to meet the ambitious targets.
