Global average lithium-ion battery pack prices fell 20% to $115 per kWh in 2024, with EV prices dropping below $100 for the first time. This marks the largest annual decline since 2017, driven by overcapacity, economies of scale, low metal prices, and increased use of cheaper lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries.
