Korea Southern Power and Ulsan City have signed an agreement to develop a 135MW clean hydrogen power plant, investing 600 billion won ($450 million USD) in the project. Set for completion by 2031, the facility will operate on 100% hydrogen, producing electricity with zero carbon emissions. The plant, located in Ulsan’s National Industrial Complex, is part of the city’s broader push to become Korea’s leading hydrogen economy hub, with initiatives in hydrogen clusters, pilot cities, and green mobility.
