Komatsu Ltd. has begun proof-of-concept tests for the world’s first large dump truck equipped with a hydrogen combustion engine. This innovative concept machine, based on the HD785 model with a maximum payload of approximately 92 metric tons, is being tested at Komatsu's Ibaraki Plant. The development is part of Komatsu's broader efforts to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and reduce CO2 emissions by 50% by 2030.
