Researchers at the S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences in Kolkata have developed an efficient, environmentally friendly method for synthesizing hydrogen peroxide, a chemical which is crucial to the industry for disinfection, paper bleaching. This new approach uses covalent organic frameworks (COFs) as photocatalysts, which have modifiable catalytic sites and light-harvesting properties.
