Kerala will install 125 MW/500 MWh Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) at four KSEB substations—Sreekantapuram, Pothencode, Mulleria, and Areacode. NHPC will implement the project under the Viability Gap Funding (VGF) scheme. Developers have 15 months to complete installations. KSERC approved capacity charges and urged faster execution.
