The Karnataka government plans to develop a 100-acre Electric Vehicle City near Bengaluru to strengthen the state’s EV and battery ecosystem. Announced during an industry consultation led by Minister Priyank Kharge, the hub will support OEMs, MSMEs, and startups with shared infrastructure. Key features include a 50-acre proving and testing zone, EV software labs, fast-charging test beds, and a centre of excellence.
