JERA and AM Green Ammonia (India) signed a Binding Heads of Agreement on October 27, 2026, for long-term supply of 70,000 tonnes per year of green ammonia for five years, extendable. The ammonia, produced at AM Green's Kakinada facility in Andhra Pradesh to be commissioned by 2028/29 using round-the-clock renewables, pumped-hydro storage and alkaline electrolysis, will be received at facilities near JERA's Hekinan Thermal Power Station in Aichi, Japan.
