Panasonic began commercial sales of glass-based perovskite solar panels in September 2026 from its Moriguchi development facility in Osaka, ahead of full-scale mass production scheduled April 2029 at Nagahama, one year early. Pre-production panels feature laminated-glass structure, max 1.8m x 1.0m, thickness 3+3mm or 6+6mm, with float or high-strength glass and customizable decorative designs.
