Italian's 3Sun and French Researcher CEA Achieve 30.8% Solar Efficiency on Tandem Perovskite-Silicon Solar Cell

Italian Solar manufacturer 3Sun and French research firm CEA have achieved a 30.8% efficiency on a tandem perovskite-Silicon Solar Cell, certified by JRC-ESTI. This record was set on a 9cm² cell, offering better scalability than prior 1cm² records. The tandem technology surpasses the silicon-only efficiency limit, positioning perovskite-silicon cells as a viable successor for large-scale PV production.
