The Indian Sugar & Bio-Energy Manufacturers Association (ISMA) has requested ₹15,000–20,000 crore in budgetary support for advanced biofuels, including second-generation ethanol, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), and green hydrogen. The funds would enable pilot projects, technology upgrades, equipment innovation, and GST rationalisation.
