Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, has signed a ₹4,200 crore term loan agreement with Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) in New Delhi on Sep 28, 2026. Signed by DVC Member (Finance) Manish Kumar and IRFC CMD Manoj Kumar Dubey, the financing will support DVC's renewable portfolio across Jharkhand and West Bengal, including floating, ground-mounted, rooftop solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, leveraging DVC's land, reservoirs and transmission infrastructure.
