IPP Clearway Energy Group has secured $550 million in financing for the Rosamond South I project in Kern County, California. The project combines 140MW of solar PV with a 118MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and is set to begin operations in 2025. McCarthy Building Companies is handling construction, and long-term power purchase agreements are in place with various California entities.
