Indian Railways has developed a 1,200 horsepower hydrogen engine, the most powerful in the world. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced this breakthrough at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention. The engine, built using indigenous technology, is expected to undergo its first trial run on the Jind-Sonipat route in Haryana.
