In June, India's fuel demand decreased by 3.7 percent month over month, according to government data, as monsoon rains limited travel in the third-largest oil consumer in the world. Fuel consumption, a proxy for oil demand, totaled 19.31 million tonnes on June 23, down from 20.06 million tonnes in May, according to information from the energy ministry's Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC).
