Union Minister Nitin Gadkari announced plans to reduce India's fossil fuel imports from ₹22 lakh cr to ₹4 lakh cr by focusing on Hydrogen as an alternative fuel. Central to this initiative is the Mirai hydrogen-powered car, using waste-derived hydrogen. Gadkari also emphasized enhancing farmers' roles in Energy Production & called for private investment in rural areas.
