India has commissioned around 8,000 TPA of green hydrogen production capacity as of February 2026, marking an initial step toward its clean energy ambitions. Under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, the country targets 5 MMT annual production by 2030 to decarbonise key sectors like steel, refining, and fertilisers.
