India and the EU have launched joint research projects on marine pollution and green hydrogen production from waste, investing ₹391 crore (€41 million) under the India-EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC). The marine pollution initiative focuses on monitoring and mitigating pollutants, while the green hydrogen project aims to convert biogenic waste into hydrogen using cost-effective methods, strengthening India-EU cooperation in sustainability and accelerating innovation in clean energy technologies.
