The Indian Institute of Technology Madras and Hyundai Motor India, supported by Tamil Nadu’s government, will establish the Hyundai HTWO Innovation Centre at IIT Madras’ Discovery Campus in Thaiyur by 2026. With a total project cost of ₹180 crore, the 65,000 sq. ft. facility will focus on green hydrogen technologies, including electrolyzer and fuel cell testing.
