Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL) is set to construct a Rs 500 crore ethanol plant in the Una district of Himachal Pradesh. The plant will occupy 30 acres of land, and the Himachal Pradesh government is contributing 50% equity investment in this project. Additionally, the state government is allocating 20 acres of land for the plant.
