Hindalco Submits Sole Proposal for NPCIL’s 220 MW Bharat Small Reactors

NPCIL has received a sole proposal from Hindalco Industries for setting up 220 MW Bharat Small Reactors (BSRs) for captive industrial power use. The project aims to provide clean electricity to energy-intensive industries like aluminium, steel, and metals, supporting decarbonisation. Under the proposed model, industries will fund capital and operational expenses, while NPCIL will manage reactor design, quality assurance, and operations.
