GUVNL initiated a competitive bidding process for 500 MW of Solar Power, attracting seven companies with bids totaling 970 MW. The auction resulted in a lowest tariff of ₹2.67 per unit, with KPI Green Energy emerging as the lowest bidder. After negotiations, tariffs were further reduced, leading to a total allocation of 1,000 MW.
