The Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission has approved the Fifth Amendment to its Net Metering Regulations for rooftop solar, effective November 4, 2025. The amendment removes the requirement for a separate written interconnection agreement for consumers under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, with Discoms simply issuing commissioning and tariff details.
