GSSG Chikuden, a new utility-scale battery storage developer in Japan, launched with a $400 million investment from Vision Ridge Partners. The joint venture between Vision Ridge and GSSG Solar aims to develop, construct, and operate Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across Japan’s grid. Leveraging GSSG Solar’s market experience and existing project pipeline, GSSG Chikuden plans to expand storage capacity, addressing growing demand for reliable clean power and supporting Japan’s Sustainable Energy Transition.
