Goa plans to establish 300 MW solar projects with 150 MW/900 MWh energy storage, costing over ₹1,300 cr on 650 acres, likely in Canacona. The plants will follow a build-own-operate-transfer (BOOT) model, connecting to the state transmission utility via tariff-based competitive bidding. The Goa Energy Development Agency (GEDA) will sign 25-year power purchase agreements with successful bidders, aligning with India’s 2030 renewable energy target of 500 GW and expanding the state’s solar infrastructure.
