The Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission has determined an additional surcharge of ₹0.76/kWh for open access consumers for April–September 2026. Based on data submitted by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited, the surcharge reflects stranded generation costs and applicable network charges. It applies to consumers of state DISCOMs availing power from other sources, following the revised methodology established in the Commission’s 2022 order.
