GCL Optoelectronics has launched the world’s first gigawatt-scale perovskite solar module facility in Kunshan, China. Phase one, with 1 GW capacity, was built in just over a year; phase two will double capacity based on demand. Backed by CNY 5 billion, it will also serve as GCL’s global R&D hub.
