Fortescue has begun construction of the 690 MW Turner River Solar Farm in Western Australia, one of the country’s largest off-grid solar projects. The project includes an integrated 74 MW/650 MWh battery system providing up to eight hours of storage, supporting reliable renewable power supply. Developed alongside existing solar assets, it aligns with Fortescue’s “real zero” emissions target by 2030.
