Evonik Industries AG is set to build a pilot plant in Marl, Germany, for the production of anion exchange membranes (AEM) under the brand name DURAION. These membranes are crucial for cost-effective green hydrogen production through water electrolysis. The plant, which represents a low double-digit million-euro investment, is expected to be operational by the end of 2025.
