Eveready Industries India Limited has set up a ₹200 crore alkaline battery plant in Jammu, the first in the SAARC region, with annual capacity of 360 million batteries, 7 million flashlights, and 6 million LED lights. Supported by the PLI scheme, the plant aims to boost margins by 10% and reduce imports.
